Preparing for Change
The current Coronavirus situation will create significant change in our office protocols.
The thing that is of paramount importance to us is the health of our patients, staff, and families. Amongst others, some of the protocol changes will include:
Pre-office entry screening.
How you enter the office.
In-office patient flow to maintain social distancing.
Minimizing points of touch/contact and installing barriers like plexiglass as required.
What will continue is our strict biological testing standards of all sterilization procedures.
For those who have reached out to us with regards to being in mid-treatment and having semi-urgent issues arise, we thank you for your patience and understanding in waiting all this time.
Covid-19 Updates and Specifics
1. Before coming to the office.
A) You will be asked to do the Covid-19 Self-Assessment Questionnaire 3 days before your appointment when you are confirming by the email or text system. You will be asked to do the same Questionnaire on the day of your appointment when you get your usual appointment reminders. Any YES answer(s) will require you to call the office and to NOT proceed with appointment confirmation.
B) You (and your child) will need to bring your non-medical Masks with you. We prefer Cloth masks to save the environment. You will be asked to wear this mask during the time that you are in the office except when actually having dental treatment.
C) Please call when you arrive. Stay in or near your car. We will advise you by calling or two-way texting when you can enter the office.
4. Covid-19 Technologies
These technologies take the safety of our patients and staff “over the top”.
Defend/Me Dental Evacuator- evacuates dental aerosols generated during procedures.
Airpura P614 Air Purifier- this air purifier will have the ULPA Hepa filter which filters particle sizes up to 0.1 microns…the size of the Coronavirus.
Disinfecting Fogger Machine- sanitization of the office, that is all natural and non-hazardous but is between 80-120 times more effective than bleach for surface disinfection.
